Musica a Palazzo offers a new way of experiencing the Opera.
The original approach revolves around the interaction between the artists, the musicians and the public.
This removes the distance between audience and performers and gives spectators the feeling of living Opera from the ‘inside’.
The intimate nature of the setting, the distinguished interiors, the refined costumes and a modern direction aim to deliver realistic interpretations and make this a unique experience.
MUSICA A PALAZZO ENSEMBLE
Reviving an Italian tradition dating from the late 1800’s, our interpretations by some of the finest lyrical voices are accompanied by a small group of strings and pianoforte: a virtuoso ensemble that has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world (Lincoln Centre in New York, Musikverein in Vienna, La Scala in Milan, the Mozarteum in Salzburg...)
Trinity House enjoys a superb location overlooking the Tower of London and the River Thames.
Behind the building’s imposing neo-classical façade, designed by Samuel Wyatt in 1794, are some of London’s most elegant rooms.
Coming in to the Entrance Hall, the eye is inevitably drawn towards the magnificent twin-curved staircase designed by Samuel Wyatt. A fine example of Georgian architecture.
At the top of the staircase is the imposing Quarterdeck which runs virtually the length of The House and showcases a fine collection of 18th century paintings including the Great Court Painting, commissioned in 1794, to commemorate the initial designs for Trinity House.
In its 300 year lifetime, the house has welcomed royalty, prime ministers and Lords of the Admiralty.
